Trumpets – Section D: The RAW Spirit, Now in Section

After the success of the Trumpet – RAW Edition, dive into a bold new variation from Enjoy Samples: Trumpets – Section D. “D” stands for Design, and this version maintains all the purity and authenticity of the RAW approach, but now applied to a trumpet section.

What is Section D?

Unlike the solo RAW Edition, which captures the raw essence of a single trumpet, Trumpets – Section D introduces a section approach while staying true to the authentic sound and rawness of the recordings. Each trumpet, played as part of a section, has been designed for exceptional harmonic cohesion. Thanks to careful planning, sections A2a and A2b combine perfectly to form a well-balanced A4 section, while remaining fully compatible with the solo version. This provides composers with total flexibility, whether working with solo or section trumpets.

We are especially proud of the A6 patch, which recreates a larger section, ideal for grand orchestrations, while maintaining the transparency and sonic impact characteristic of the RAW approach.

And, just like the solo version, Trumpets – Section D was recorded with the same microphone setup: 1 Coles 4038 (Close 1), 1 U47 (Close 2), 2 TLM150 (Spot 1), 2 AEA R84 (Spot 2), and 2 TLM170 (Room), ensuring consistent recording quality across both versions.

Why “D” for Design?

The term Design here refers to the careful attention given to reproducing a true trumpet section, where every note and section is crafted to blend seamlessly. It is a sophisticated design that offers an authentic and flexible sound experience, providing a perfect balance between sections A2a, A2b, A4, and A6. All of this, staying true to the raw spirit, without excessive processing, and faithful to the original recording.

Technical Specifications:

  • Intelligently designed instruments for balanced orchestral performances, while staying faithful to the raw authenticity of the RAW sound.
  • Round Robins ranging from 4 to 9 for most playing styles, ensuring realistic variability.
  • Advanced controls for vibrato, legato, and Time Stretch, allowing fine sound customization.
  • Multiple mute IRs integrated to offer an even wider sound palette.
  • Bonus IR Reverb, enhancing spatial sound while staying true to the raw recording spirit.

The RAW spirit in section:

Trumpets – Section D lets you explore the essence of the trumpet section while maintaining the purity of the RAW approach you already know. This redefined section offers maximum flexibility for demanding composers, while respecting the raw dynamics of the original recording sessions.

With Trumpets – Section D, you remain in the realm of the raw and authentic, but benefit from an intelligent design that allows perfect adaptation between solo and section. This is the ultimate sonic experience, ready to be shaped to your vision.

Trumpets – Section D, a new orchestral sound design standard, while preserving the raw spirit.
